AMES, Iowa – The public is invited to attend an input meeting regarding the current Park Rules and Ordinances at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2 in the City Hall Council Chambers, 515 Clark Avenue.
The Ames Parks and Recreation staff has been directed by the Parks and Recreation Commission to review and gather public input on the current Park Rules and Ordinances and recommended changes. City Council has also directed the Commission to include a review of the use of personal transportation devices within the park system.
“The goal of the meeting is to inform the public of the current rules and ordinances and to discuss the concerns currently happening in the parks,” said Keith Abraham, Parks and Recreation Director. “We welcome feedback from the public regarding potential changes as we are committed to having safe, enjoyable, and accessible parks for all visitors.”
