1. Complete an application for Municipal Utility Service online or obtain one from Utilities Customer Service or the Inspections Division at City Hall located at 515 Clark Avenue
2. Submit a completed online application.  If using a paper application, submit in person to Utilities Customer Service or fax to 515-239-5286.

   Please note, if the applicant is not a current active Ames utility customer, a deposit may be required.

3.  Once the application is received by the City offices, a service order will be sent to the Water Meter Division to install the meter(s).
